– LynnThank you again, sooooo much for showing Wasteland, I was so inspired, one of the very best movies I have even seen.
What a wonderful man to give so much to people so poor with so little. It bought tears to my eyes. To go into their homes, to film them working, the stench must have been unbearable, but he talked to them laughed with them, shared their horror stories and watching him hang their paintings on the walls of their very basic homes was amazing.
Look forward to seeing what you have next on the screen.
– KARIN BLACKTHANKYOU FOR SHARING THIS FILM WITH US TODAY. I FOUND IT VERY HUMBLING. A SHAME WE DON’T HAVE MORE ARTIST IN THIS WORLD WITH THE GIFT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO DO SUCH GOOD WORK AS THIS ARTIST DID FOR HIS PEOPLE .WHAT STRUCK ME WAS HOW THESE POOR PEOPLE WONTED FOR SO LITTLE AND YET THE REST OF SOCIETY WONT SO MUCH. HENCE ALL THE RUBBISH THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE .THERE IS A TRUE LESS ION TO LEARN FROM THIS MOVIE .WE HAVE LOST OUR WAY AND THEY ARE STRIVING TO FIND THEIRS. IT TRULY TOUCHED ME IN EVERY WAY. THANKYOU FOR HELPING ME TO PUT THINGS IN PROSPECTIVE.
– Kimballe RobinsenI just wanted to thank you for your heroic effort to continue to bring the Gold Coast such meaningful, thought provoking and awareness raising content. I found your last screening of ‘Wasteland’ particularly inspiring. The transformational and empowering message reignited a personal aspiration to foster a charity that would attempt to rescue the disappearing culture of the Andaman Sea Gypsies … a project I hope not to lose sight of. Your presence in our community stirs much positive change. We are truly blessed

Wasteland was an inspiring watch, art and heart bridging the gap between wealth and waste, . I was drawn into the stories of the central characters, and felt with them the profound effect of the project on their spirits. The heros once viewed by themselves and others as rubbish rats, emerged as champions of trash, with just a little vision, applied faith and communal effort. This movie evoked tears, amazement, laughter and inspiration. It is a movie of personal evolution, community transformation, faith, art, opportunity and…. recycling.
