Thank you again, sooooo much for showing Wasteland, I was so inspired, one of the very best movies I have even seen.

What a wonderful man to give so much to people so poor with so little. It bought tears to my eyes. To go into their homes, to film them working, the stench must have been unbearable, but he talked to them laughed with them, shared their horror stories and watching him hang their paintings on the walls of their very basic homes was amazing.

Look forward to seeing what you have next on the screen.

THANKYOU FOR SHARING THIS FILM WITH US TODAY. I FOUND IT VERY HUMBLING. A SHAME WE DON’T HAVE MORE ARTIST IN THIS WORLD WITH THE GIFT THAT THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO DO SUCH GOOD WORK AS THIS ARTIST DID FOR HIS PEOPLE .WHAT STRUCK ME WAS HOW THESE POOR PEOPLE WONTED FOR SO LITTLE AND YET THE REST OF SOCIETY WONT SO MUCH. HENCE ALL THE RUBBISH THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE .THERE IS A TRUE LESS ION TO LEARN FROM THIS MOVIE .WE HAVE LOST OUR WAY AND THEY ARE STRIVING TO FIND THEIRS. IT TRULY TOUCHED ME IN EVERY WAY. THANKYOU FOR HELPING ME TO PUT THINGS IN PROSPECTIVE.

I just wanted to thank you for your heroic effort to continue to bring the Gold Coast such meaningful, thought provoking and awareness raising content. I found your last screening of ‘Wasteland’ particularly inspiring. The transformational and empowering message reignited a personal aspiration to foster a charity that would attempt to rescue the disappearing culture of the Andaman Sea Gypsies … a project I hope not to lose sight of. Your presence in our community stirs much positive change. We are truly blessed ;-)

– Kimballe Robinsen - testimonials

Wasteland was an inspiring watch, art and heart bridging the gap between wealth and waste, . I was drawn into the stories of the central characters, and felt with them the profound effect of the project on their spirits. The heros once viewed by themselves and others as rubbish rats, emerged as champions of trash, with just a little vision, applied faith and communal effort. This movie evoked tears, amazement, laughter and inspiration. It is a movie of personal evolution, community transformation, faith, art, opportunity and…. recycling.

You are a wonderful soul doing wonderful things for the  world we live in, for mother earth, for our planet..I am so very proud  to call you a friend and to know you have achieved such great things  with Earth Moving events. Be proud too. Take a second and reflect on  your effort and the love behind….it. In admiration

I’m writing to let you know what a great evening I had at your premiere screening of “May I Be Frank?” A good friend of mine told me of all you and your team do at LCE. LOVED the doco! I came with a box of tissues, expecting tears, but left with face-ache from laughing! Frank is (was?) a typical example of our general population, especially here on the Gold Coast, not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well.
Isn’t it sad that we have access to clean water and food, freedom of speech, choice of government, and divergent faiths tolerated, but we’ve never been so poor, in and of ourselves, than we are right now?
You guys are changing the world, one person at a time, and I’m certainly going to sing your praises to anyone who’ll listen. Sign me up!
Blessings…

What a fantastic way to inspire change for a healthy mind, body and community. Thank you for continuing to provide fantastic events. “May I be Frank” shows that anyone can change, and as a health professional, it was so cool to see the inspiration ripple through the audience. No doubt this will promote healthy habits, big or small in everyone that was there!

Wasteland was a movie that touched me unexpectedly. To see people follow their passion despite people telling them they shouldn’t or couldn’t was so inspiring. And, by doing so, changed people’s lives. Talk about life changing events!!!!!

When I saw the preview for May I Be Frank” my first thought was, Oh No not another “Fat guy looses weight and gets healthy” movie.
I was wrong. “May I be Frank” is different, funny, very irreverent and brutally honest. This is a warts and all movie and how totally refreshing.
Not all of us are carrying the amount of physical and emotional baggage that Frank was but all of us have a lot to learn form his journey.

I just wanted to re-itterate how impressed I was with how you run Life Changing events.

And that doco May I Be Frank was fantastic. In fact, I’ve been telling a few people about this including a couple of clients in my Ripple Affect workshop last weekend.

Will you be screening May I Be Frank again? I’d bring a few people down from Brisbane for that. :)

Looking forward to doing more with you guys
:)

The movies screened by Life Changing Events are always relevant, insightful and extremely inspirational.  I’m a huge fan of the work you are doing which is really a community service, and continually encourage friends and colleagues to come along to a screening.  If everyone invited one friend each month and then that friend invited another friend, imagine how much more could be achieved in such a warm growing community of like-minded people who continue to learn from one another for the benefit of our children.  My two young children are big fans too of Life Changing Events and after their first screening a couple of months back, my 10yo walked away saying “mum please can we come to all of these, that was awesome”.  Keep up the great work and thank you from my family.

No Impact Man was my favourite because I didn’t know that turning off the lights could help the environment, I thought it was about saving money.  I told my mum I would like to try living without lights and power sometimes to help.

Bag It was my favourite movie out of all of the documentaries I’ve seen. I think it was outstanding because the man who made that movie is very smart and my school has not educated us kids about this movie and I think every school in the world should be learning this because if we don’t learn that plastic doesn’t break down eventually there will be so much plastic that the people, the animals and our planet will be gone.

Hello Kym & Nic, I sincerely thank you for the invitation to attend last night’s film night. So much positive energy in the room. The film was indeed haunting about what has happened to our planet. I am very interested in power foods and will continue to monitor what you’re doing and support you wherever I can. Congratulations on your third birthday … an absolute credit to you.

Planet Ocean was a great film with brilliant photography of unforgettable places and scenes. The issues are not new but all the more urgent in needing address from people who care about this planet and its inhabitants. It shows that feeding the human world and rapidly increasing population represent major problems for the survival of every other creature that calls Earth home.

It was the first time that I have met Kym in person, and I am very impressed not only with the work she is doing, but for her warm personality. Quite a lady!

You are doing an amazing job with the films, Lohas and other activities and we all look forward to a great partnership.

Thanks for showing a great film, I hope it inspired a few to write to their politicians to take action about the many serious issues raised in the movie, as well as being more personally responsible with plastics, eating fish, food miles etc.
